October Inspiration Judy

Hey all!
It's Judy here sharing my inspiration project for this month!

I chose to do an altered wooden letter project using

I started with a 9 1/2 inch wooden letter
and printed the digi.

I chose a cute printed paper I thought would work well.
I turned letter face down on the backside of the paper and traced
and then cut out.
I used acrylic paint to cover the backside and edges of the letter.
Once this was dry I applied the cut out paper to the front
of the letter with decoupage medium. The next step was
to use the medium as a sealer over the paper.
While this dried I fussy cut the image which was colored
to match the paper.

Next I decided where to place the image and a banner

I put together with die cuts, glittered sticker letters
and baker's twine.

Once these pieces were adhered I punched and layered some flowers
and pulled out some buttons.
Once I had everything placed and attached I decided
to add some die cut leaves as the last touch.

I think this would make such a cute piece of nursery decor and hope that
perhaps, I've inspired you to try a project like this.

Victoria's October Inspiration Using The Joker

Hello everyone! It hope that your having a lovely day/evening. It's Victoria here.  I'm back to share my inspiration post for this month. I've used the Joker Digital Stamp.  He is such a fun image. You can find him and more digital stamps including some new ones over at the Cute As A Button Store.

I've coloured him with Spectrum Noir Markers and Pencils. To create the background I've used yellow card. Which I've scored lots of times to create a pattern. I've shaped the image as a playing card. Then I've made two extra and added the sentiment to them. To finish of  I've added die cut swirls and pearls.

There is currently a challenge going on at the Cute As A Button Challenge Blog and a Progressive Challenge on the Cute As A Button Facebook Group. We'd love to see you come and join in the fun with us.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post today.

Happy crafting everyone.

Margaret's October Inspiration post.

It is Spring here in Australia and today has been a hot day over 30C, but it is Autumn on the other side of the world so this card is for my cyber friends overseas.

I have layered Cute as a Button precoloured digi stamp Fall Fun onto 2 papers from Cute as a Button Autumn Harvest digital papers
Added extra leaves from Imagine That Falling Leaves bundle
Added sentiment from Miss Daisy stamps
I did have another black and white image printed out ready to make a card for my inspiration post but when I started to colour my eyes were too blurry to see properly so I decided to use one of  the precoloured images..

There are more new stamps released today and a special discount code till 14 October see the challenge blog

Using the Pre-Colored images

Coloring is not one of my favorite things...My favorite part of making a card is putting it all together and making it beautiful!  That means when I can get an image pre-colored, I will!!  When I do color an image, a lot of the times I will scan it with my scanner into the computer and use it over and over that way.  With all of this being said, I figured I would show you just how fast and easy you can put a lovely card together using a pre-colored image.

The first thing I did for this card is put the pre-colored image (Mother Nature) and a sentiment (one I made,  this will be posted to My Blog soon) together how I wanted it on my card and print it out.
Then I cut it out, swept around the image with an ink pad and added it to a lower layer of colored cardstock.
Then I picked out some designer paper, other colors of cardstock, gems and more...I kept this card rather simple for me.
Then after having everything together I laid it out on the main cardstock.  After it was all together I added some sparkle (Stickles) to her dress.

Thanks for looking!
If you want the sentiment I created head on over to my blog.  It will be there soon!!
